Ice Cream Social followed by a Free Summer Concert

Sousa didn't start it, but he certainly made it splendid.
It's an old American summer tradition, Saturday night, ice cream, and band music.
This Saturday evening at 7:15 (please note the time change) Quintopia Brass Quintet will present their third annual concert at the Chebeague Methodist Church.
Many of you have attended earlier Quintopia concerts and know what to look forward to.
If you have not previously heard Quintopia, they present a delightful mix of classical, jazz, dixieland and pop music which has played in past years to a full church.

The quintet comprises:
Michelle Kingston and Catriona Shepherd - trumpets
Yvonne Mumme - french horn
Meg Hausan - trombone
Ernie Sanborn - tuba
They have played together for some five years now and have perfected a lively and entertaining repertoire.

The ice cream part of the program is new this year in that the Ladies' Aid of the church will also present their annual "Ice Cream Social" that same evening, in the Parish House at 6PM.
An opportunity to feast both body and soul!

In previous years several of you have been willing to help defray the cost of this evening - we must cover travel expenses for the group, and also a modest honorarium.
Contributions to help with this effort may be sent through the Free Concert Fund - thus becoming tax deductible. They should be sent to Beth Howe at 168 South Road.

Come and enjoy a deliciously resonant evening.
