Grasshopper Hill Compost is a community-
based compost project promoting sustainable living practices.
Developed in early 2010 by Sarah McKinnon
and Kyle Koerber, GHC uses land generously offered by Leila and Suhail Bisharat
as a base of operations. The Island
Institute has also helped by providing a
grant.
We want to encourage the community to
compost because it cuts down on waste at our transfer station, and it is good
for our environment.
Convenient Compost drop-off site, list of
what can and cannot be composted and buckets are available to make composting
easy.
