Eric Hopkins

Native Maine islander Eric Hopkins, who hails from North Haven Island, is without doubt Maine's most highly regarded living artist. His art appears in important collections across the United States, and has been featured a number of times at shows in the Portland Museum of Art. A few years back the Farnsworth Museum in Rockland gave him a one-man show. Eric's paintings range in price from $5,000 for a small oil to over $100,000 for his larger canvasses.

Recently Eric has been hard at working creating colorful fabric designs, which will be available for sale next year. The fish portrayed on this stool gives us a sneak preview of what his fabric designs will look like. The item you see before you is more than a step stool - it is a work of art by a famous artist, a highly collectible work of art.
