Acrobat Reader 3.0 (TM)

Beginning with 1999, the Chebeague Island Annual Newsletters are in PDF format!
These files will be have this icon to identify them as needing Acrobat Reader 3.0 to view the file on your PC.

Since the files are between two and three megabytes in size, it will take between two and twenty minutes to download them. However, the file will be an authentic reproduction of the original booklet with the additional benefit of supplying the photographs in color!

Adobe(TM) Acrobat(TM) software lets us create electronic documents from a wide range of authoring tools for sharing across different computer platforms. We simply "print" files to the Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). By sending a PDF file and a free copy of Acrobat Reader to any Macintosh(R), Windows(R), DOS, or UNIX(R) user, it permits them to view or print the document with the hardware and software they already have.

Adobe has also created an Access Conversion Service for blind and visually impaired users. This service translates PDF documents into a format that screen readers can use.  If you would like more information on this service, please visit Access.adobe.com.
