DUNE GRASS

We have places where dune grass grows above the high tide mark.

Help Protect It.  It works magic as

·      A barrier to storm surges and flooding

·      Crucial habitat for animal and bird species

It can survive extreme heat and no water but not walkers. It snaps when only a few people walk over its brittle stalks. Then it dies and cannot grow back.

Check out all around Indian Point and the stretch of beach at Rose’s. Find other special places.  Tell friends and family to keep off this magic grass. Without it wind and water destroy our shore.
