A group of us met with Diane Cowen from the Lobster Conservancy to start the lobster sampling project on Chebeague. This project is in conjunction with the Friends of Casco Bay and with approval and permission by the DMR. We were looking for immature lobsters in the intertidal zone. The tides have to be draining and we have to set up quadrants and list all the different species of sea life we find and detail measurements and information about any lobsters. It was very interesting and the perfect day for this. We will have to do this in the same area every month during very low tides.
