Wallace 'Wally' Robert Brown, 58
PORTLAND -- Wallace 'Wally' Robert Brown, 58, of Portland died unexpectedly at his home on April 11,2012. He was born Nov. 15, 1953 in Woburn, Mass. He was the son of Robert Wallace and Lee Grover Brown. He was a graduate of Lincoln Sudbury High School.
At the time of his death he was employed with CH2M Hill in Prudhoe Bay, AK and attending school at USM to complete his Geography degree. This, after a 20 year career as a commercial fisherman here in Portland.

Last Oct. 17th, he was remarried to Sue Turner-Villetta out at the Falmouth Community Park where they spent a great deal of time together with their dogs.
Wallace's interests and accomplishments were many and spanned many years...He hiked the Pacific Crest Trail at 19, and spent a season as a ski bum in Alta, Utah. He was an accomplished Banjo picker, a pilot and had recently earned his 100 ton captains license. He loved world music and practicing yoga with his wife.

He loved the time he spent out on Chebeague Island and above all, loved his family.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Sue of Portland; his daughters, Anna Brown and Maggie Brown both of Portland; step-daughter, Chelsea Villetta and three step-sons, Nicholas, Chandler and Griffin Villetta, all of Portland; a mother-in-law, Carol Turner of Newport; two sisters, Wynne Brown and her husband Peter Wimberger of Tacoma, Wash., Elizabeth Brown of Bellingham, Wash.. and a brother, William Brown and his wife Kristen of Londonderry, N.H.

Visiting hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday at Conroy-Tully Crawford Funeral Home, 172 State Street, Portland A 10:00 a.m. Memorial service will be held Wednesday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.ctcrawford.com.
