David Galarneau

DURHAM - David D. Galarneau Jr., 54, of Day Road died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, unexpectedly at his home.

He was born on July 3, 1953, to David D. Galarneau Sr. and Esther A. (Staples) Galarneau.

He adored his family and spending every moment he could with his grandson. He was proud of his Native American ancestry and enjoyed participating as a dancer at many pow-wows. He was known as an absolutely wonderful cook who shared his creations with all. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and touched the lives of those who met him.

He was a fine craftsman who was in the construction trade all his adult life.

He was predeceased by a brother, Daniel A. Galarneau.

Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Pamela (Corcoran) Galarneau; a daughter, Tesia J. (Galarneau) McCarthy and her husband, Ryan McCarthy; a son, Daniel D. Galarneau; a grandson, Finnian McCarthy; his mother, Esther A. Galarneau; a brother, Ronald A. Galarneau; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held in his memory on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the MTM Community Center, 18 School St., Lisbon Falls.

Memorial donations may be made to his grandson, Finnian McCarthy, and future grandchildren.
