Heather Genevieve Hartling

Heather Genevieve Hartling passed away suddenly August 11, 2022, after a brain seizure and cardiac arrest. Born January 18, 1979, in Philadelphia, Heather was 43 years old. She graduated from Mount St. Joseph’s Academy and received a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. For the past ten years she resided with her partner in Upper Darby and worked as a quality analyst with Stewart Title Appraisal Services.

Heather will be remembered for her joyous personality which filled a room whenever she arrived. But she will also be appreciated for the great empathy she displayed in responding to the needs of others. She especially enjoyed her dogs and cats. She was active for many years in the Philadelphia branch of the American Poolplayers Association—her 8-ball team was Philadelphia City champions in 2013.

Heather is survived by her long-time partner Emil Riedel; her parents Barbara Monaco and James E. Hartling; her sister Gina Hartling and husband Scott Landis; her brother James J. Hartling; her step-parents Gretchen Hartling and Frank Angelini; her partner’s mother Marianne Riedel; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation Monday evening August 15th, 4:30 - 7:00 P.M. at the Dinan Funeral Home, 1923 Spring Garden Street, Philadelphia, PA. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Heather's memory to Providence Animal Shelter, 555 Sandy Bank Road, Media, PA 19063, would be appreciated.
