Mary Margaret (Young) Ingram

margaretMary Margaret (Young) Ingram, 97, of Cambridge, died peacefully of "old age" in Peabody.

She was born in 1924 in Wembley, a London suburb in the United Kingdom. Her parents were Mary Isobel Young, (Barton) and Percy Archibald Young. Margaret graduated from the London School of Economics and earned a Ph.D in psychology from Boston University. She worked for many years as an elementary school psychologist for the Winchester public schools.

She was a resident of Cambridge for forty years. She had a passion for childhood development, gardening, politics and her summer house in Maine.

Margaret is survived by her son Peter, his wife Christina Cramton, her daughter Jennifer, her husband David Stoff, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren, her brother Douglas Young, his wife Judy Young, three nieces and two nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Young and her former husband Vernon Ingram.

All memorial services are private, Margaret's ashes will be buried on Chebeague Island, Maine.
