Kimberly H. Doughty

BEDFORD -- Kimberly Hayden Doughty, 44, died Oct. 20. 2009.

She was born in Portland, Maine, on Dec. 2, 1964, to Priscilla H. Tolman and the late Capt. Bruce H. Doughty.

She was a graduate of Acton-Boxborough High School in Acton, Mass., and attended Northeastern University in the criminal justice program. She was a police officer in Concord and Stow, Mass., for 20 years. She was very active in the Stow DARE program. She was a lover of people and animals, she was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan, enjoyed kayaking, and fishing in the Merrimack River.

IN HER LIFE: She is survived by her mother, Pricilla H. Tolman, and her step father, John H. Tolman, of Canterbury; one brother, Capt. Gardiner S. Doughty of Canterbury; one uncle, Barry Doughty of Millinocket Maine; one niece, Samantha J. Doughty of Concord; numerous cousins and many friends.

SERVICES: Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Waters Funeral Home, 50 South Main St., Concord.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the Waters Funeral Home. Burial will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.
