SOUTH PORTLAND - Katherine W. Morrill, 76, died January 17, 2002, at the Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born on Chebeague Island, a daughter of Sidney and Venora (Westman) Doughty and was educated in Chebeague Island schools, graduating from Chebeague High School class of 1943, one of two members of the senior class. She enjoyed reading, knitting, spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her husband Neil Morrill died in 1981. Predeceased by a daughter, Susan A. Hysom in 1998. Surviving are three daughters, Pamela J. Turene of South Portland, Katherine M. Huelin of South Portland, Rebecca A. Morrill of South Portland; three sons, Charles R. Morrill of Portland; Stewart W. Morrill of Texas; Sidney L. Morrill of Texas; a sister, Marlene Bowen of Chebeague Island; two brothers, Wesley Doughty of Chebeague Island, Lawson Doughty of Cumberland; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Memorial visitation and family gathering Sunday 2-4 p.m. at the Hobbs Funeral Home, 230 Cottage Road, South Portland.
