Jeffrey LeClaire

JeffLincoln, Rhode Island - Jeffrey LeClaire, 58, of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Lincoln, Rhode Island, passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2011.

Born November 25, 1952 in Worcester, MA, he was the fourth child of David J. LeClaire and Doris E. LeClaire Allen. Jeff initially attended school in Upton, MA, and, upon the family's move to North Yarmouth in 1961 and subsequently to Chebeague Island in 1967, the Cumberland school system. He enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1972 and was stationed all over the country including Kodiak, Alaska; Cape May, New Jersey and San Juan, Puerto Rico. It was in Puerto Rico that he met Patricia L. Hatcliff, the love of his life. They were married in San Diego, CA in 1982.

After discharge from the Coast Guard, Jeff worked in dental sales and as a dental technician. He graduated in 1992 from Central Piedmont Community College with a degree in computer and electronics engineering. He was most recently employed as Production Manager for Bego, USA in Lincoln, RI, a leader in digital dentistry equipment and procedures.

Jeff loved spending time with his Sweet "P". He enjoyed putting entries on his Facebook page about his love of the Tea Party, Ayn Rand and Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina. He loved riding his Harley, cooking up delicious foods in his kitchen or on his grill, planting flower gardens and trees on his property in SC and sitting on his deck in the early morning, sipping coffee and watching all the varieties of birds that visited his feeders.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents; father David J. LeClaire in December of 1973, step- father Clayton H. Allen in August of 2004 and mother Doris LeClaire Allen in November of 2005.

Jeff is survived by his wife of 29 years, Patricia of Rock Hill, SC; by his siblings Debbie and husband Mark Storms of Yarmouth; Bruce and wife Irene LeClaire of Windham;  Cindy and husband Thor Nilsen of Scarborough; his nieces Jaye-Allison and husband Bill Winkel of Waterboro, Kristen Nilsen of Alexandria, VA; Renee LeClaire and her fiancé Justin MacPhie of Lyman; his nephews Rick Nunan of West Chester, PA and David LeClaire of Windham; and his great-nephews Brendan, Evan, Collin and Justin Winkel of Waterboro and Connor MacPhie of Lyman.

He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

In accordance with Jeff’s wishes there will be no funeral service. His ashes will be returned to his beloved Chebeague Island at an appropriate time in the future.
