November 23, 2025 - Raphael Malcolm Mijares passed away at the age of 26 in Colorado. Beloved great grandson of Elizabeth Duff Shute, son of Heather Hurford, nephew of Lisa Tucker, and 10th generation descendant of Chebeague Hamilton's, he and his family are surrounded with love during this time of deep grief. Dear Sangha Friends,
In the next few days, our beloved Moku Heather Hurford
will be attending her son with her exquisite Love and
Devotion as he is making his journey Home. As sangha,
we offer our gentle holding and blessing to our dear
Dharma Sister in this time of both her deep grieving and
also honoring of her precious Son. We hold her in the
Grace of Kuan Yin throughout HER journey of release.
In your contemplation, please call her son’s name:
RAPHAEL
Speak directly from your heart to his by inviting him to
remember that he IS the purity of Love, and that as he is
leaving this particular incarnation, for him to follow the
Clear Light that is appearing, to know that he is safe
and protected as he is letting go of all that he has
known in this life. Then, include him in the depth of
SILENCE that is the core of your Heart, and send a
prayer of gratitude for every act of kindness that he
offered in this life. Hold this feeling WITH him for the next
few minutes. Sing to him, offer your love to him,
whatever comes for you in the pure offering of Presence
for his journey. Do this many times each day.
