Christine was born in Bangor to parents Hilda Maquier and Clyde Pierce. She graduated from Higgins Classical Institute in 1965.
She enjoyed playing cards, specifically Texas Hold ‘Em, entering many tournaments. She loved spending time outdoors and always had her little dog, Muffin, by her side.
Christine is survived by her husband of 56 years, Steve Slowik; stepfather, Merrill Maquire; brother, Brent Pierce; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents.
A special thanks goes out to Christine’s best friend, Sally Arsenault, for her love and dedication. The family would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their wonderful care.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held Saturday, April 15, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Family Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St. in Bangor. Condolences to the family may be expressed at Brookings-Smith.com.
