Robert “Bob” Gerard Summa

Robert “Bob” Gerard Summa, 58, died on Sunday, October 15, 2017 in North Conway, NH. Bob was born on May 19, 1959 in Waterbury, Connecticut to Medelise and John Summa. He grew up in the Waterbury area eventually settling in Maine. Bob established a successful career as an HVAC specialist with Siemens Corporation and was respected and admired by his colleagues. An enthusiastic outdoorsman and nature lover, Bob enjoyed hiking, paddling, mountain biking, surfing, and skiing. A lifelong learner and avid reader, he was a self-taught astronomer and musician.

Bob resided in North Berwick, Maine with his lifetime love and “partner in crime” Debra Dubay. Besides being survived by Debra, Bob leaves behind Debra’s daughter Karen, son Joe and his wife Becky; he is also survived by his five siblings John, Geoffrey, Mark, Medelise and Patricia, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and their dog Charlie.

Bob’s gentle soul, sense of humor and positive easy-going outlook on life will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Spring Hill in South Berwick, ME. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Great Works Regional Land Trust P.O. Box 151 South Berwick, ME 03908.
