Geneva A. Dobson, 76

POWNAL - Geneva A. Dobson, 76, of Royal Road died Feb. 28, 2000, at her
residence after a long illness.

She was born in Falmouth, a daughter of Frank and Geneva Olmstead Baker and
attended Falmouth schools.

She married Clinton Dobson in 1941.

She enjoyed children and was dedicated to bringing up her family as well as many foster
children.

Mrs. Dobson and her husband lived here before moving to Chebeague Island from 1972
until 1985. They have lived here since 1985.

She liked to garden and bird-watch. She was a member of the Chebeague Island Ladies
Aid and taught Sunday school, and was a member of the Yarmouth Church of the
Nazarene.

Surviving are two daughters, Rose Hamill of Kings Williams, Va., and Gloria Dobson
of Waterford; five sons, Clinton Jr. of Poland, John of Auburn, Richard of Buckfield,
Allen of Pownal and Michael Dobson of New Gloucester; 24 grandchildren, 32
great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

Visiting hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Lindquist Funeral Home, 1 Mayberry
Lane, Yarmouth, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will be in the
spring in Riverside Cemetery, Yarmouth.
