Chebeague School Trip
Biodiversity Research Institute Bird Program
May 18, 2015

The Pre-K class and the K-2nd Grade Chebeague Classes went on a wonderful field trip to learn about the studies of migratory birds being done by Biodiversity Research Institute (BRI). Our teacher was Patrick Keenan with help from Erin who taught the students all about the fabulous research the volunteers are doing to study the migratory birds of Maine. We went to the River Point Conservation Area near the Falmouth Crossing Shopping Center. Each child even had the opportunity to release a bird that had been caught that morning, measured and banded. As you can see by the photos, every child and the adults were totally involved in learning about all they do.

These are all the same students who last winter created the Migratory Bird Video!
